Nadia Lyotard, D.M.D., M.S.D., was born and raised in Switzerland and is a third generation dentist. She grew up watching her mother practice orthodontics and was greatly influenced by her dedication to creating beautiful smiles in a way that simultaneously improved the long-term health and function of her patients' dentition. Dr. Lyotard was also inspired by the long Swiss tradition of precision, high quality work known to much of the world in the production of things like Swiss Army knives, beautiful watches, and delicious chocolate. While Switzerland was a quaint country to grow up in, Dr. Lyotard decided that America, known for its broad and diverse opportunities, was the right place to start her future. She began her American adventure in 1997 and delights in the numerous experiences she has had and the many interesting people she has met along the way. Dr. Lyotard received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University and her Master of Science in Dentistry from Case Western Reserve University. She received her Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from Case Western Reserve University's orthodontic program in 2006. Upon graduation, she joined a group practice in Houston and successfully saw over 1200 patients complete their orthodontic treatment. In 2011, she attended a continuing education seminar presented by Dr. Linda Crawford, an orthodontist voted by her peers as "Best Orthodontist in Dallas" 5 times consecutively from 2005-2013. She saw in Dr. Crawford a potential mentor that shared her passion for beautiful treatment results and was so impressed that she decided to travel to Dallas to have Dr. Crawford retreat her own challenging bite problems. As it turns out, Dr. Crawford had been searching for someone she could entrust to take over the practice she had painstakingly built and carry on the work she had built upon the tutelage she received from her own mentor, Dr. Matthews, one of the founders of the orthodontic program at Baylor College of Dentistry. Dr. Lyotard accepted and began working with Dr. Crawford in the summer of 2013. The name of the practice is "Beaux Sourires", which is French for Beautiful Smiles. The complimentary new patient evaluation includes a comprehensive oral evaluation and a panoramic radiograph. One or more possible treatment plans are presented including the sequence of events, a fee estimate, and financing options. We specialize in being able to offer many patients with more challenging bite problems the option of being treated with Invisalign when traditionally their only option may have been treatment with conventional braces. When Invisalign appliances are not appropriate, or when a patient prefers more traditional appliances, our office offers state of the art brackets made in America by American Orthodontics. Our mission is to do our best for each patient every day. Our practice provides a comfortable, safe, and sophisticated environment, where we treat each individual patient with personalized care. An appointment to schedule a complimentary examination can be made by phone or through our website. We look forward to caring for you! |
